A small handmade black clay bowl from Meghalaya in northeastern India, made in the tradition of Lyrnai pottery. Practiced primarily by women artisans, the pottery combines locally gathered black clay with serpentine stone and is shaped entirely by hand without the use of a potter’s wheel.

Each piece is open-air fired and traditionally polished by hand, giving the pottery its distinctive earthy surface and natural variation. No two pieces are exactly alike.

Sized for nuts, snacks, condiments, or other small servings at the table.
