Botanical Printing Workshop - Oct 25
Join us for a botanical printing workshop with Angela Wardlaw of Esme Textiles. Working with fresh flowers and dried foliage, Angela will guide you in arranging and designing your own composition on silk, while sharing her deep knowledge of botanical printing and the many variables that shape a print on cloth.
Through heat and pressure, the plants release their natural pigments directly onto the silk, leaving behind impressions of the botanicals themselves.
You will design and create a 22 × 22 inch hemmed silk piece to take home, to be worn as a scarf or displayed as textile art. No prior experience is needed.

A little note
I took Angela’s botanical printing workshop myself a few months ago and was so mesmerized by the process that I knew I wanted to bring it to The Atelier. I enjoyed her style of teaching, her depth of knowledge about plants and their pigments, and the thoughtful guidance she gave each of us as we worked through our compositions. I look forward to having you experience it for yourself. Read more here.
